＊ブッシュ米大統領は１８日、イランに対し核攻撃の選択肢を持つのかとの質問に対して「すべての選択肢は俎上にある」と答えた。大統領は一方で、イラン核開発問題を「外交的に解決することを望み、懸命に努力している」とも強調した。米国ではイランの地下核施設を破壊するため、地中貫通型核爆弾の使用も選択肢に残した空爆作戦を検討しているとの報道がある。大統領は一貫して対イラン軍事行動の可能性を排除しない姿勢を示している。
